War Horse's Matt Doyle Sets Concert Date Tied to Debut EP Daylight

War Horse cast member Matt Doyle has booked a concert date at Le Poisson Rouge on August 15 in support of his debut EP Daylight. Doyle’s concert will include music from the new release as well as covers of soul and pop hits. Special guests will include the actor's War Horse castmate Katy Pfaffl, Spring Awakening alum Blake Daniel, and Anna Ty Bergman.

On the day of its release, Daylight broke the top 40 on the iTunes pop charts. Co-written by composer/musical director Will Van Dyke and recorded in Nashville and New York City, the EP draws inspirations from the golden age of soul music, including a cover of "Lost and Lookin" by Sam Cooke.

Doyle, who is currently featured as Billy Narracott in War Horse, has appeared on Broadway in Spring Awakening and Bye Bye Birdie and plays the recurring role of Jonathan on TV’s Gossip Girl.
